Arabian Jasmine

Arabian Jasmine

(Jasminum sambac) - (a) One of the best "True" Jasmines, lush foliage and vine-like growth offers intensely fragrant, small white flowers that open at night and close in the morning. This is the variety that Jasmine tea is made from. Blooms fade to pink as they age. Enjoys partial to full sun. Prefers regular watering to maintain evenly moist soil - weekly, or more often. Blooms summer into fall; year-round in warm climates. Fast growing to 6 to 8 feet tall, 3 to 4 feet wide with support. Wonderful as a border, in containers, as an espalier, in mass plantings and in Urban Gardens.

Grand Duke Arabian Jasmine

(Jasminum sambac 'Grand Duke') - (b) Button-like double flowers boast wonderfully fragrant clusters of creamy-white blooms often used in Hawaiian leis. Enjoys partial to full sun. Prefers regular watering - weekly, or more often in extreme heat. Blooms spring through summer. Slow growing to 6 to 10 feet tall and 3 to 5 feet wide. Wonderful in containers, as an espalier or in an Urban Garden.
