Rhododendrons
Rhododendrons
Rhododendrons are showy shrubs that are extremely versatile in our California landscape. They are ideal for mass plantings, make great low hedges, and work well as an accent or specimen shrub. We have a lovely selection that are ready to burst with color.

Rhododendron Care
Rhododendrons prefer acid soil rich in organic matter. We recommend a combination of E.B. Stone's Organic Compost and Sure Start when planting, followed later by E.B. Stone's Azalea, Camellia & Gardenia Food for maintenance. Be sure soil is well draining. Add a thick layer of mulch to keep roots cool, avoiding the crown. Protect your Rhododendrons from harsh afternoon sun and water deeply and regularly during the first growing season to establish an extensive root system.
